A researcher in the field of music published a text on the occasion of the birthday of musician Hossein Alizadeh, presenting his views on the collection "Iranian Musical Instruments Narrated by Hossein Alizadeh."

According to Mehr News Agency, Shahram Saremi, a researcher, musician, and music critic, published a text on the occasion of the 74th birthday of our country's musician and composer Hossein Alizadeh, presenting his views on the collection "Iranian Musical Instruments Narrated by Hossein Alizadeh."
Part of Shahram Saremi's note reads:
"I congratulate Iranian music, music artists, the artistic community, and the general culture-loving public of our country on the 74th birthday of the proud and exceptional figure of Iranian music, Hossein Alizadeh.
Hossein Alizadeh created great honor and value for Iranian music in the glorious years of his artistic life. Throughout all these years, while respecting his independence and non-dependence on any government or government-affiliated artistic institution, he has achieved his valuable and lasting activities with his great effort and firm belief.
Alizadeh is undoubtedly one of the most influential musicians to whom today's Iranian artistic music owes its ceaseless efforts. He is a concerned artist and has never remained silent about the state of art and artists, social conditions, and adversities. Over the years of serious and uninterrupted activity, he has pioneered a trend that is the result of his personal and creative view of Iranian music, radif, playing, composing, and life.

His works contain both musical simplicity and simplicity (like Saadi's poetry, which is simple and restrained) and musical complexities (like Bidel Dehlavi's poetry, which is philosophical and mysterious).
"Iranian Musical Instruments Collection" is certainly the most difficult project produced in the history of Iranian music, and in my opinion, this work is Hossein Alizadeh's "Manifesto".
For this reason, and on the occasion of his proud birthday, we will take a brief look at this collection:
The audio collection "Iranian Musical Instruments" includes 17 book volumes and 13 CDs (302 pieces in total) and was completed in 1403.
A collection that began in 2019 in days of difficult conditions, the difficulties of intensive group rehearsals, gathering and recording at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, social protests, difficult conditions of illness, the vastness of the project, which was made possible with the love, belief, and perseverance that we have seen from Hossein Alizadeh throughout all these years, and the result is an exceptional, lasting, practical, creative, and exquisite collection that has been dedicated to the Iranian music community.

Each of the instruments and songs, including the pieces of the preface form, the tasnif, the chamar-e-mizrab, the rang (of his own compositions), as well as the rows of Hossein Alizadeh, including the instruments, songs, and percussion, have been published independently in a book and the entire collection has been performed in audio form.
This collection has many features, some of which will be mentioned:
All the poems used in this collection have been written specifically for this collection. Poet and musician Sirous Jamali, one of Hossein Alizadeh's students, has written pure, appropriate, specialized, and emotional poems for these collections, poems that have been written for each corner, referring to the name of the desired corner. In addition, each of these collections has been written and performed like a complete concert performance, with all its components, which have both performance and educational capabilities.
In these collections, the songs have a special place. Bayat Turk, Abu Atta, Afshari, Dashti and Bayat Kord, each with complete independence and the performance of all the details, corners and parts of the form are revealed.

The production of this collection was carried out with the presence of about 45 artists, which is one of the largest number of artists in the production of the work in its kind. The composition of the groups was selected with slight differences and the presence of different artists in the groups has caused the performances to have a different color and flavor in terms of emotion.
These collections are the first approach to Iranian music radif with a creative look that is audible to all music enthusiasts.
Before this approach to radif and existing recorded samples had only an educational aspect for music learners (as a teaching resource) and did not have the ability to be heard by all music enthusiasts and listeners. In addition, the aforementioned collection should be taught at high university levels under the supervision of experienced instructors. This is while Alizadeh has displayed a display of elegance, performance technique, creative approach to the radif, and deep emotion in these works.
I congratulate him on his blessed birthday, and I wish more happiness and success for this tireless man, a great and kind teacher of Iranian music. We are grateful and indebted to his love and generosity, as long as we are.”
